A Trip to Lagamar...

Cardoso Island is the best place to study the nature. You can find beaches, forest and much more.
Cardoso Island is located on the south coast of São Paulo state, near Ilha Comprida and Cananeia city. To get there, you con drive to Iguape. You don't need to stop but you can visit Morro do Espia and see the whole region from the top. After Iguape you can continue up to Cananéia city and there you can go to the port take a boat and wait till you get to Ilha do Cardoso, you will see a beautiful view. On Cardoso Island there are beaches, forests, mangroves, and more.
The mangrove is one of the most disgusting place in the island but we had some fun in it.
The beach is very beautiful and the sea water is warm. You can have great fun in it. There are also dolphins and a lot of different kinds of fishes in the ocean.

You cant sleep on the island. You will find little inns called pousadas in Cananeia city. A good pousada is Golfinho Plaza Hotel. The Hotel isn't very sufisticated but you can find confort in it.
It rains a lot there during the year so the hotel can be a shelter against rain.
In Cananeia there is also nice places to vist like the town museum where the second biggest white shark ever captured stands.
Don't forget to take your camera, the sun protection lotion, and insect repellent.
